A dermatologist is a doctor who specializes in conditions involving the skin, hair, and nails. A dermatologist can identify and treat more than 3,000 conditions. These conditions include eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer, among many others.
Prior to joining Dermatology & Surgery, Dr Liu was formerly a consultant dermatologist with the Singapore National Skin Centre, where part of her role involved overseeing the Women's Clinic at the Department of STI Control. She played in integral role in promoting Women's Health and was an invited speaker for local and international medical conferences. She regularly educates and engages the public on radio talk-shows, by giving magazine interviews and introducing new services at her clinics to improve awareness and care for women in general. For the training of future doctors, she was also a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Singapore.
Dr Liu graduated from NUS in 2008 and obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2013. She proceeded to complete her dermatology advanced specialist training at the National Skin Centre, qualifying as a Ministry of Health accredited dermatologist.
Dr Liu is a member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore, Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Dermatology) and Member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
