A neurologist is a medical doctor who specializes in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating diseases that affect the nervous system such as brain, spinal cord and nerves.
Dr Ho King Hee is a neurologist at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. He received subspecialty training in giddiness and disorders of balance as well as neurophysiology. He spent several years teaching neurology and internal medicine at the National University of Singapore before leaving in 2001 for private practice. He is currently a visiting consultant to the National University Hospital in Singapore.
He is a member of the extended board of the Headache Society of Singapore acting as a scientific advisor. Dr Ho was a member of the Singapore Ministry of Health Clinical Practice Guideline Workgroups on headaches and cancer pain. He also sits on the Pain Advisory Board of Singapore and was a longstanding Advisory Board member of the Epilepsy Care Group of Singapore.
He has published extensively on headache epidemiology in Singapore and was the founder-president of the Singapore chapter of the International Headache Society. He enjoys his occasional responsibilities as an external examiner for postgraduate Family Medicine and Neurology candidates in Singapore and continues to teach primary care physicians and neurology trainees on a regular basis.
