Dr. Sue-Ann Ho

Biography

A dermatologist is a doctor who specializes in conditions involving the skin, hair, and nails. A dermatologist can identify and treat more than 3,000 conditions. These conditions include eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer, among many others.

She also sees general dermatology cases including acne, eczema, psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa. She is also a Visiting Consultant to the National University Hospital. Prior to joining Dermatology & Surgery Clinic, Dr Sue-Ann was a Consultant and Assistant Professor with the National University Health System (NUHS) and the National University of Singapore (NUS), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (YLLSoM) respectively. She was also appointed as a Consultant in the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) where she was the Skin Tumor Group lead.

After graduating from NUS, she underwent basic specialist training in Internal Medicine and proceeded to complete dermatology training as an Advanced Specialist Trainee in Dermatology. Dr Sue-Ann was then awarded the prestigious Academic Medicine Development Award by NUH to pursue further training in dermatology surgery and Mohs Micrographic Surgery in Ninewells Hospital Dundee, Scotland. Upon her return, Sue-Ann setup NUHS’s first Mohs Micrographic Surgery service in 2015. Dr Sue-Ann has performed more than 500 Mohs surgery successfully.

Since 2016, she has taken up leadership positions in NUH’s Division of Dermatology and YLLSoM. She was the Clinical Director for Dermatology (NUH), Deputy Undergraduate Medical Education Directors - Medicine (YLLSoM, NUS, NUHS) and in 2020, she was awarded the Fortitude Award for her contributions to medical education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr Sue-Ann has contributed significantly to medical knowledge. She has co-authored some 20 publications and poster presentations. She has presented at numerous international conferences winning the Best Audit presentation in the Scottish Dermatology Society and the Best Poster in the British Association of Dermatologists Annual Meeting in 2015.
