Tips For Keeping Focus And Concentration While Fasting

The reduced for fluids and nutrients during fasting can cause the body to become weak, lack energy, and decrease focus and concentration. This decrease in focus and concentration will certainly affect one's productivity. However, don't worry, because it can be circumvented so that focus and concentration is maintained during fasting.


1. ) Set bedtime: It is recommended to get 7-8 hours of sleep per day. Don't sleep late at night and make sure you get quality sleep.
2. ) Regulate intake at iftar and suhoor: Avoid sugary foods, processed product foods, and fatty foods. Also consume foods which contain high protein such as fish and eggs, as well as fibrous foods such as fruits and vegetables that also contain vitamins B, C, E, and magnesium, such as carrots, spinach, or oranges.
3. ) Keep your body hydrated: Mild dehydration can make it difficult for people to focus and concentrate, therefore, keep the body hydrated by consuming 8-12 glasses of water during iftar and suhoor. In addition, avoid drinks that contain caffeine because it is a diuretic.
4. ) Sports: Exercise can keep the body fit and concentration awake because exercise releases the body's endorphins. Just do light exercise for 30 minutes, such as walking, push up, sit up, or yoga.
5. ) Rest during the day: Taking a 15-20 minute nap, listening to music, or taking a walk in the park can relax the body and mind, relax more, and restore focus and concentration.
6. ) Make an activity plan Make a list of activities that will be done to be more structured, minimize other activities that are less effective, and easy to concentrate
